Does Catering shines a light on the simple pleasures of life, highlighting quality, seasonal and locally sourced produce.  This commitment has remained the same ever since founder, Billy Dohnt, started his journey as a chef.

As a culinary wizard, epicurean adventurer, and connoisseur of the finer things in life, everything Billy does coincidentally revolves around his love for good food! Billy cut his teeth as a chef in McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, taking a leading role at distinguished restaurants and wineries including the Salopian Inn, Hotel Richmond, Chain of Ponds Wines, Petuluma Winery, Penfolds Wines and d’Arrys Verandah. He continued to build his reputation an uncover his passion for catering with a two-year stint in northeast Victoria, evolving the Euroa Butter Factory. He brought this newfound appetite for catering home with him to South Australia in 2019, consulting for a range of iconic South Australian venues, and launching his own catering business, BillyDohnt does.

Jump forward a few years and while the name might be shorter, Does Catering continues to pursue the founding philosophy of simple, fresh, seasonal food, that showcases the remarkable regional produce available on our back doorstep. Billy is committed to working with local suppliers who share his commitment for ethically and sustainably sourced food. With an eye for detail and incessant creative flare, Billy’s passion for the industry and love for cooking is highlighted through the work of Does Catering and is reinforced upon every meal that leaves his kitchen.
